With over two decades of meaningful experience in the field of psychology and education, Tera Parichay was founded with a single purpose — to help students truly understand themselves and make informed, confident choices about their future. The name Tera Parichay beautifully encapsulates this mission — “Discovering Yourself.”
Our founder, Shivani Garg Gujral, a highly experienced Career Guidance Psychologist, has spent more than 20 years guiding high school students across India to identify their innate abilities, interests, and personalities. Her approach goes far beyond aptitude tests or academic records — it’s about understanding the individual behind the student, and helping them chart a path that aligns with who they are and what they aspire to become.
Today, through Tera Parichay, her work reaches students across India and beyond. She provides one-on-one counselling sessions, aptitude and personality assessments, and ongoing guidance through the complex processes of college applications, university shortlisting, and admission decisions. Each consultation is personalized, empathetic, and rooted in psychological insight, ensuring that students not only choose the right academic path but also grow in self-awareness and confidence.

More About Shivani Garg Gujral - Founder, Tera Parichay
Before founding Tera Parichay, Shivani served as the Founding Career Psychologist at Step By Step School, Noida, a role she held for almost a decade. During this time, she designed and implemented a comprehensive career guidance framework that became central to the school’s approach toward student development. She also consulted with Khaitan Public School, where she supported high school students in their academic planning and career exploration, ensuring that each child received personalized attention and direction.
Her professional journey began at Bangalore University, where she worked as a lecturer and headed the Student Counselling Cell. It was here that her interest in student guidance evolved into a lifelong passion. Later, she joined Career Forum, Pune, as their Founding Career Guidance Psychologist, where she played a pivotal role in helping students make thoughtful and well-researched undergraduate and postgraduate choices.
Her academic background reflects the same depth and commitment she brings to her work. She holds a Double Master’s in Education from the prestigious University College London (UCL), an M.Phil. in Guidance and Counselling from Mother Teresa University, a Master’s in Applied Psychology from Delhi University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Delhi University. She channels her rich education and extensive experience into Tera Parichay, striving to make a lasting impact on students’ lives, shaping their academic journeys and guiding them toward fulfilling futures.
